About

Q: What is this?

A: Bakanano (ばかなの), also known as Hanako Yamada’s Terrible, Awful, No Good At All Summer, is an online parody comic hosted on tumblr. It was made using the program Manga Maker Comipo.

The comic finished publishing in early 2017, but in 2020, it began to be remade thanks to advacements in Comipo. Higher resolution, corrected typos and improved dialogue and better overall presentation are some of the improved factors seen in the 2020 remake.

Q: This is really bad, the plot doesn’t make any sense, and every character looks the same!

A. Yes, that’s the point, Linda.

Q: Why does this plot sound awfully familiar?

A: Bakanano began as a playful parody of Mohiro Kitoh’s excellent ‘Bokurano’, a manga about kids on summer vacation who end up fighting in a robot to save the world. It then turned into a parody of badly written horror anime and manga in general (Ousama Game, Tomogui Game, Mayoiga, etc.)

Q. Hey! I like the bad anime you mentioned!

A. I do too! I love crappy media. I’m a huge fan of Sharknado, and you can not convince me Mayoiga isn’t the Sharknado of anime.

Q. I don’t think this comic is bad at all. I like it.

A. Bless your heart, friend. I have a lot of fun making it myself.

Q: Do you work on serious projects, or plan on doing more stuff with Comipo?

A. Yes. My creative archive can be found here.

Q. I’m Mohiro Kitoh himself and my laywers will be in touch

A. please dont im just a college student
