FAQ
Q. Can I translate your game?
Yes! Contact me, I would love to have my games available in other languages!
Q. Can I make fan content? Can I sell merchandise? Can I repost your games?
Please read my terms available HERE.
Q. I want to be a game dev. What advice can you give?
Start by making a short, silly game. Don't start out trying to make your dream game a reality, or else you'll get frustrated.
Make a 10 minute game about an egg who wants to be a millionaire. Test out the program you're using or building; check other's developers code to learn.
And most importantly: have fun. If game development is worsening your mental health to the point where your life is affected negatively, take a break.
Q. How did you do ___ in your game?
I'm always open to sharing the code from my games, be it Ren'py or RPG Maker. I believe that indie devs should help each other out.
If you want to know, for example, how I set up a certain event in Raguna or how to make the shaky text effect from Overcomp, just send me a message :) I might even make a blog post sharing it with everyone!
Q. Why doesn't X game have a translation in Portuguese?
RPG Maker games require more work to be translated, and there is no demand for that at the moment. All my Ren'Py games are released with Portuguese translations because they're super easy to set up.
If there is ever a lot of demand to translate my very long games - such as Apple Pie and Raguna - I would need a team of translators, editors, image editors, and bugtesters willing to do that work for free. It's not possible for me to do all that work on my own.
Q. Do you plan on working on other devs' projects?
I would love to work in other projects, but I'm at a point in my life where working on other people's projects for free just isn't feasible, be it art or writing.
